I have prepared a worksheet to practice Past Simple and Past Continuous with a variety of exercises. Exercises include:

• listening
• fill-in-the-gaps exercise
• reading with comprehension questions
• speaking – retelling stories from prompts and describing pictures.

The worksheet is designed for A2 students; it will probably take you 30-45 minutes to complete it with your student(s).

The worksheet is ready to use – it will work well in an online environment and in the classroom (or self-study!). The answer key is included at the end of the worksheet.
