As reading is a perfect way to build vocabulary, let’s have another one! This time we’ll have a look at the family vocabulary, Present and Past Perfect and expressing opinions. It’s an interactive reading – the text is divided into eight parts and there are questions in between. It’s a great way to boost interest and check comprehension on the go.

Instructions
Age group: teenagers, adults
Level: B1-B2
Time: 20-30 minutes
The story: There are two versions of the text – a pdf and a presentation. PDF – You can print the text, cut it into pieces, and give the students parts one by one. PRESENTATION – You can share the screen (online classes) or show the presentation on the projector and present the text slide by slide. As you go, ask the question listed and any additional that you come up with.
Exercises: You can do the exercisestogether or give the students some time to complete them and then check the answers.
Discussion: First, discuss the meaning of the idioms and then discuss in pairs/groups.
