What’s my problem – second conditional practice

Looking for a fun and engaging way to practise the second conditional with your students? I have a solution for you! In this “What’s my problem?” worksheet, your students will take turns giving advice and guessing what the problem is. They will practise speaking and active listening all this while working on their second conditional statements.

Instructions

  • One person (the advisor) gives 2–3 pieces of advice using 2nd conditional.
    • e.g., If I were you, I’d leave a note with a cute reminder. I’d also talk to them directly if the note didn’t help.
  • The other person (the guesser) listens and guesses the problem.
    • e.g., Hmm… Is the problem that my partner doesn’t clean?
